Character Guides
Broken down by first impressions, trivia, etc.
Jane Drew : Nice. no, really. Nice. Pretty. Bit of a doormat due to constantly being a mediator and being the only girl. Bleeds empathy, most likely to bond with any outside forces, wild magic or weird vibes. Feel free to use her as the psychic equivalent of a carbon monoxide alarm. Very useful when you want things retrieved when everyone else has pissed the sentient all powerful monster or force off.
Barney (short for Barnabas) Drew : Bit of a dreamer. Has a thing for Arthurian tales. A wee bit excitable. Artist. Been known to get drugged in his time, or at least get used by other people to get a line on information, which may or may not include slipping him something.
Simon Drew : Public school boy older brother type. Brave, a bit arrogant, dislikes it when people younger than him take charge of situations. Generally useful. Started out wanting to be a sailor, now has his heart set on the medical profession.
Merriman Lyon : Mysterious person. Knows a lot, into academia, likeable, doesn't like telling you the whole story, known to be a manipulative sod. Standard mystic/wise mentor type. Most likely to get the 'looks a bit like a hawk' description as this type of person does with added 'white hair' and 'tall'. A lot older than he looks (well, if you count the dawn of humanity as old), main Lord of the Light, has been known to go by 'Merlin' if that helps with your understanding. Has been known to make some rather stupid decisions in his time due to being occasionally blind to human frailty.
Will Stanton : Ordinary. So ordinary and unassuming you may feel the need to kick him. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, pleasant, voted most likely to blend in. Occasionally has a habit of seeming a fair bit older than he is. And more commanding. And take charge. And knowing everything. Please try to ignore his other habits of controlling magic, time-skipping, living forever and being what's basically the main avatar of the Light. (it's a version of the High Magic, we'll explain later)
Bran Davies : Arrogant, smug bastard, physically stunning. (partially due to being albino with yellow eyes) Enjoys pissing you off. Technically the son of Ewan Davies, shepherd and church man. Well, he's the one who *raised* him. *Actually* the son of Arthur and Guinevere (yes, that Arthur) due to Merriman taking advantage of Guinevere being a wee bit insecure about Arthur thinking the baby wasn't his and bringing the baby forward in time to fulfil various prophecies. This is only really relevant when there's odd stuff going on, when he morphs into a leader of men with a line into the memories of legendary times.
John Rowlands : Nice bloke. No-nonsense shepherd, very perceptive, keeps his mouth shut when you want him to, good man in a crisis and decent surrogate father figure. Should really learn to do a bit of a background check into prospective wives.
